Creating Your First AI Agent

AI Agents are the brain of your WhatsApp automation. They run 24/7 to answer customer questions, handle orders, and provide support. This guide will show you how to create your first agent in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Navigate to AI Agents

  1. Log in to your Watsy dashboard.
  2. Click on AI Agents in the left sidebar menu.
  3. Click the Create Agent button + in the top right corner.

Step 2: Basic Setup

A simple modal will appear asking for the essentials:

  1. Agent Name: Give your agent a name (e.g., "Sales Bot" or "Support Assistant").
  2. System Prompt: This is the most important part! It defines your agent's personality and instructions.
    • Example: "You are a helpful support agent for [Business Name]. Be polite, concise, and professional."
  3. Click Create Agent.

Step 3: Advanced Configuration

Once created, you will be redirected to the Agent Details page where you can configure advanced settings:

  • Model: Choose the AI model (e.g., Gemini Flash for speed, Gemini Pro for intelligence).
  • Temperature: Adjust creativity (Low = precise, High = creative).
  • Knowledge Base: Link a document collection so your agent knows your specific business data.

Step 4: Assign to WhatsApp

Your agent needs a phone number to talk to people:

  1. Go to the WhatsApp Numbers tab in the agent details.
  2. Toggle the switch next to the phone number you want to assign this agent to.
  3. The agent is now live on that number!
