Connect WhatsApp Business Number

Watsy makes it easy to connect your WhatsApp Business number using the official "Embedded Signup" flow. This secure process allows you to log in with your Facebook account and select your number directly within the dashboard.

Prerequisites

• A Facebook Account.
• A phone number you can answer (to receive an SMS or Call for verification).
  • Note: If this number is currently used on the WhatsApp mobile app (Business or Personal), you must delete that account first. The API requires a "clean" number.
• Admin access to your Meta Business Manager (if connecting an existing business asset).

Step 1: Start Connection

1. Go to your Watsy Dashboard.
2. Click on Phone Numbers in the sidebar.
3. Click the Add Number button (top right).
4. In the "Connect WhatsApp Business" section, click the Connect WhatsApp Business button.

Step 2: Facebook Login

A popup window from Facebook will appear.

1. Log in with your Facebook account.
2. Click Continue as [Name].
3. Grant the requested permissions (Watsy needs these to manage your messages).

Step 3: Select Business Portfolio

1. Select your existing Meta Business Portfolio (Business Manager) or create a new one.
2. Click Next.

Step 4: Create or Select WhatsApp Account

1. Create a new WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) or select an existing one.
   • Tip: Creating a new one often avoids permission issues.
2. Click Next.

Step 5: Verify Phone Number

1. Select Create a new WhatsApp profile and enter your business name and category.
2. Enter your Phone Number.
3. Choose a verification method (SMS or Phone Call).
4. Enter the 6-digit code you receive on your phone.

Step 6: Finalize

1. Once verified, click Next / Finish.
2. The popup will close automatically.
3. Your Watsy dashboard will refresh to show your new connected number.

Next Steps

Your number is now Active!

• Assign an AI Agent: Click on the number card to assign an AI Agent to handle incoming messages.
• Test: Send a "Hello" message to your number from another WhatsApp account to see it appear in the Inbox.
